**What the charity does:** The charity was formed as a co-operative venture between The Prince &amp; Princess of Wales Hospice (“the Hospice”) and Glasgow Clyde College (“the College”) to provide student work experience in a live retail environment. The charity opened its first shop in Battlefield on 21 November 2018, then moved into the Hospice at Bellahouston Park in April 2023.  The salon provides beauty treatments using ethically sourced materials. Treatments are provided to members of the public by professional beautician staff and appropriately qualified students who work under staff supervision. The salon also sells related beauty products to provide a rounded retail experience for the students. A customer base of around 300 recurring customers has been established.

**Objectives:** The SIO will promote, advance and further its charitable purposes by:-  7.1 The SCIO will promote, advance and further its charitable purposes by:-  7.1.1 working to encourage, promote and support (through collaboration primarily with colleges to provide &#x27;hands on&#x27;/&#x27;real time and life&#x27; work experience) education, career skills, training, employability and opportunities, and in particular in the beauty industry, for young people and others who can be helped(initially but not exclusively in Glasgow) to ensure that they do not miss out on the opportunities of skills, education, training, employability as well as the enjoyment that vocational skills, training and work opportunities can bring to the, and so that society does not miss out on the development these crucial skills for current and future generations.  7.1.2 delivering purposes in clause 7.1.1 through the provision of ?hands on?/?real time and life? work experience in an environment and setting that provides and offers services and related activities and products to the public. and  7.1.3 making grants and payments to the Prince &amp; Princess of Wales Hospice (The), a registered Scottish Charity SC012372
