To provide recreational facilities or organise recreational activities by engaging members and volunteers in community gardening projects across Ayrshire and by inspiring local residents to join community gardening projects as a way of promoting healthy outdoor exercise for a worthy cause. To relieve those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by distributing free of charge all of the fresh produce grown to the local elderly and other identified needy causes. ## **Activities** Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic outcomes the charity has not as yet managed to begin its planned activities since conception. In light of the ongoing situation, a new plan will be developed to commence charity work in 2024. ## **Structure, governance and management** ## Constitution Diggin’ Ayrshire is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and operates under a governing constitution. The constitution sets out the charity’s purpose, structure and describes how it must operate. The trustees understand the legal requirement to ensure Diggin’ Ayrshire complies with its governing document. ## Trustee recruitment and appointment Diggin’ Ayrshire has not recruited or made any new trustee appointments during the period. **3** Achievements and performance Diggin, Ayrshire has not been active during the financial period. Financial review Diggin, Ayrshire has not commenced charitable activities as planned, has not opened a bank account. and has not received any income ortaken on any expenses during the period.
