Lanarkshire Deaf Hub (the operating name for Lanarkshire Deaf Club SCIO) is the leading and only deaf-led charity for deafness and hearing loss in Lanarkshire, with over 300 members and growing – an increase of over 200% since March 2024. We have been connecting communities in Lanarkshire since 2003. We support individuals of all ages with deafness and hearing loss. We want to ensure their rights, engagement, participation, inclusion, and access are respected and protected. Lanarkshire Deaf Hub is a unique resource centre that provides crucial support to deaf children, young people, adults, older people, their families, and the broader communities across Lanarkshire. The charity provides information, advice, and guidance support to deaf communities. We offer inclusive, accessible activities, programmes, and communities groups / clubs focused on emotional, social, and practical wellbeing. Our work includes Children, Young People, and Families Services.

Objectives: To promote the benefit of Deaf people in Lanarkshire and its environs without the distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, volunteer organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. Powers To further this aim the club shall: 1. Increase awareness of the club to the Deaf and hearing within the community. 2. Forge links between Deaf and hearing communities. 3. Encourage Deaf people to meet on a regular basis. 4. Provide a safe and organised environment for Deaf people to be involved
