**Purposes:** 'the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended'

**What the charity does:** The Village Hall committee arrange events for the good of the community, Film nights, Bingo nights, Christmas Fayre, Tea Dance, Beer & Gin Festival, Heritage events. The hall is also used for private functions.  The hall is let out for Badminton, Pickle Ball and Pilates, these are attended by many people in the area and are held weekly.  We feel the Village Hall is a real hub of the community as our local school was closed down last year.

**Objectives:** The said subjects and the buildings to be erected thereon (hereinafter referred to as 'the trust subjects') are dedicated and shall be held by us and our successors as Trustees in all time coming for the purposes of physical and mental training and recreation, and social moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading and recreation rooms, library, lectures, classes, recreations and entertainments or otherwise as may be found expedient of the inhabitants of the Parish of Kirkbean in the County of Stewartry of Kirkcudbright and its immediate vicinity, without distinction of sex or of political religious or other opinions subject to the provisions of these presents.
