**What the charity does:** We run book related monthly meetings where local people can bring surplus books, take away any books from our shelves and socialise with other over refreshments. We also invite local authors to talk about their books. Currently we open from 11-4pm on the 3rd of every month and operate book boxes in surrounding villages. We will next year also support authors to go into the local primary school and donate books to the school as well.

**Objectives:** The organisation's purposes are: To advance education by individual and group participation in literary events To advance arts, heritage and culture through library, book exchange and dialogue at talks and other events To advance the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities through the sharing of literature and literary related events, with the object of improving the conditions of life in north Argyll across all age ranges and sections of that community.
