SSD is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation with a written constitution. Our aim is to develop schools debating in Scotland through outreach initiatives. It will enable pupils who attend schools in Scotland to participate in International debating competitions for school pupils and to aim to maximise their success at such events.
The trustees are volunteers who are proposed by the Board and elected by the membership.
Our regular income is from competition entry fees and our main income is voluntary donations from individuals, groups and organisations who support our aim. The organisation aims to hold sufficient cash funds to meet all expenditure due and anticipated during a 3 month period. Services are also donated to the organisation in terms of debate coaching and debate judging.
No remuneration is paid to the Trustees during the year. Legitimate expenses can be reimbursed to Trustees during the year for expenses incurred in fulfilling their trustee duties. This totalled £0 to 0 trustees during this financial year.
There is no operating deficit for this organisation.
All funds held by the organisation are unrestricted in nature.
