Objectives and activities
The club's main purpose is to advance public partlclpation In sport by providing
opportunities for individtjals of all ages and abilities in the Bathgate area to take part in
football or football related activities through Bathgate Thistle Community Football aub.
The club aims to promote development of physlcal and soclal 5ki115 through membershipi
participation in tralnln8 and competitive, non￿PetItive and recfeatlonal games and
activities.
As of 30th June 2024 the club had active teams and year groups for children born between
2007 and 2018 covering both boys and 8lrts' groups. The club has also establlshed strong
links With local Juniors aubs (such as Fauldhouse United and Armadale Thistle) for players
looklng to contlnue thelr senlor football.
Community involvement 15 Central to the club, as demonstrated by the natlonal award
recognisingthe work we do in our communities. We continue to play a large part in local
events {such as the annual procession), work with other local organisations (suth as the
High Church Foodbankl and provlde a wlde range of communlty actlvltles out w￿h our core
club and team structure. These Include (but not Ilmlted to) Vlsual Impalrment football, 5&
Walkin8 football, Over 355 recreational football, Disney Playmakers, Claire Em51ie and
Women's Recreational football. We have also welcomed in a new Warriorfs Premier League
team (formerly Monster Munchin) to further expand the opportunities available within our
club and community.
Players and Partlclpants
We alm to allow Indlvlduals of all ages to learn the 8ame of football In a Scottish Football
Association and Scottish Women's Football backed Development plan and do so in a fun and
challenging way. The club follows the SFA coaching pathway that is proven to provide the
right environment for players of all ages to grow and develop.

We contlnue to Invest In our coathes, ensurlng each Indlvldual has achleved the mlnlmum
requirements for coaching qualifications but is also given the opportunity to further develop
and 8row theirskills to ensure we can provide the best learning environments for our teams
and players.

Volunteers
As a volunteer led organlsatlon, our volunteers are the backbone of our organisatlon. We
continue to fully support all volunteers with open lines of communication between each
group and the club Èxecutive to share experiences and skills. We continually seek to recrurt
a widÉ varioty of voluntoersto help us run the expandin8 Sertions of our club. building on
the strengths each individual brings from other area5 of their life.

The Club 15 governed by a Constitution which is available to the public via the club website. The
constltutlon was last amended and approved at the AGM held Sunday tr February 2024.
Trustee recrultment and appolntment
We alm to have a diverse Board of Trusrees and Executlve Commlttee In order to make the
Club more effective and have the ri8ht mix of skills and experience to boost our ability to
meet our aims. Nominations and selertions are made in line with the followin8 principles:
At each AGM, the rnembefs may elect any member (unless helshe is debarred from
membership) to be a charity trustee.
The Executlve Commlttee may at any tlme appolnt any member (unless he/she Is
debarred from membershlp) to be a charliy Trustee or Executlve Commlitee
member.
At each AGM, all of the charlty Trustees and Executfve Commlttee members
electedlappointed shall retire from office- but shall then be eligible for re-electlon.
The Executive Committee keeps a register of Trustees and Executive Committee members
and Is avallable to members of the public upon request.
Achlevements, Awards and Perfomian¢e
The Club has continued to 8row and develop over this period, particularly in the girls and
community / recreational areas with over 71)) participating members in club activity and
many hundreds more in recreational actlvity.
We successfully retained our Artive Assured Plus (West Lothian Council) and were delighted
to be awarded the top Quality Mark accreditation possible from our national governing
body.
In addition, we were deli8hted to be invited to Hampden where we were named as the best
communty club in Scotland at the end of the 2023 season. Testament to the work and
effort by the club investing in community-based activities and programmes.
We now deliver a full pathway of recreational / community sessions for girls football ranging
from UEFA Disney Playmakers, to Claire Emslie 5(Kcer Schools through to Teenage and
Women'5 recreational sess•ons. We have introduced a Free Friday Football sesSiOTI.
providin8 Opportunities for indmduals without teams.
We continue to offer free holiday camps (backed by Scottish Gas and West Lothian Council)
providing opportunities for a broad range of individuals to socialise and keep active and

connected over the lY)lid3y periods. All participants have acc@ss to healthy meals. driks and
snacks at these sesslons,

After thorough review, the Club retained the services of Football Nation as their official kit
supplier. providing best value and service to all members of the communlty dub.
We continue to review and expand our range to meet the growing diversity and demands of
the community club.

As can be seen from the infonnation above. the main source of income to the Club is from
fts teams to pay for training lets. Conversely. the main reason for expenditure is to pay for
the training lets on behalf of the whole club. The Club is now running normally after the
impact of the pandemic and the 2023 and 2024 years represent a period of almost normal
team operation in terms of income and costs.

Any grant fundlng is ringfenced and used for the purpose intended. All other fundlng Is
mostly from teams with expendtture belng the cost of training lets. The club aims to have
reserve of at least £IOk at all times in order to ensure the runnin8 costs for any 6 month
