**What the charity does:** The principal purpose for the Men's Shed is to provide an option for the men in our area to meet with other men for the purpose of companionship and to share experiences and knowledge.  There is no strong expectation placed on anyone and people can get as much or as little from the experience as they wish.  We provide workshop facilities to have a less formal environment for the meetings but these also give a financial support as we are able to raise our funding to allow us to support our group.  We have no external grant funding and are wholly self reliant.  In parallel we provide a support to other members of our community - schools, nurseries, other charities and individuals (often elderly)
