Objectives: 2.1 To relieve poverty and sickness and injury among persons employed or formerly employed or otherwise engaged or formerly engaged in or in connection with the horseracing and thoroughbred breeding industry and their dependants (?the Beneficiaries?). 2.2 The advancement of education among any of the Beneficiaries who are in need. 2.3 The provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation in the interest of social welfare primarily for the benefit of Beneficiaries having need of such facilities by reason of youth or infirmity or disablement as specified in paragraph (b) of sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Recreational Charities Act 1958. 2.4 The advancement of education for the public benefit by the promotion of research into, and of public awareness of, methods of prevention and treatment of sickness among, and of injuries sustained by, jockeys, stable staff, apprentices and others licensed by the British Horseracing Authority while riding or attending horses and by persons attending horseraces or thoroughbred breeding establishments and by publication of the useful results thereof. 2.5 To promote and protect the physical and mental health of Beneficiaries through the provision of services, including but not exclusively, counselling, support and practical advice.
