Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of health','the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

Screen Memories is set up to deliver reminiscence sessions to older people who may be living with dementia or other memory problems, who are frail, elderly, lonely, or socially isolated. The main aim of these sessions is to trigger memories of film, television, radio and popular music from the periods of childhood, youth and early adulthood though the use of still images, trailers, newsreels and memorabilia. The sessions are held in community settings, churches, sports clubs, hospitals and hospice outreach centres. We work in partnership with other organisations who support the same or similar client groups.

Objectives: 4.1 The advancement of health, including the prevention or relief of sickness, disease or human suffering by using therapeutic activities to reduce the suffering of those diagnosed with all forms of dementia and other memory problems. 4.2 The provision of relief for those living with dementia and other memory problems through therapeutic reminiscence facilities and activities intended to relieve the effects of their ill-health. 4.3 The provision of recreational and cultural activities for lonely and socially isolated people with the object of improving their conditions of life and well-being.
