## **2. Minute of Last AGM** 

MM proposed, AM seconded.  AGREED. 

## **3. Election of Office Bearers** 

- 3.1.1. Chair HT proposed Michelle McClure, BF seconded.  AGREED. 

- 3.1.2. Treasurer PH confirmed that he wished to step down as 

- Treasurer. MM proposed Harry Thomson, AM seconded. AGREED. 

- 3.1.3. Secretary PH proposed Alan McClure, LH seconded.  AGREED. 

## **4. Chair’s Report** 

MM remarked that it had been another dry Saturday, and that we were incredibly lucky to have this again.  Great turnout, and card readers worked well.  The boys, Obi and Josh did extremely well at their collection. 

There were some negative comments regarding Rhelm, perhaps their set was a bit long, though it was good to support local youth. 

The contingency of the Community Centre worked very well in the event of the bad weather experienced.  The Community Church assisted well in closing down their morning service.  Possibly a better environment for the 



smaller groups.  The Ship did a great job in providing the bar and food inside. 

The gig in The Masonic was great, though there was a large queue again as the outside bar wasn’t functioning a lot of the time. 

Did feel the pinch a bit as we didn’t have a large sponsorship apart from The Ship. 

The small gigs in The Mill Café (including an unplanned appearance from Boudicca Britannica!) went down well.  The open mic wasn’t too well attended, but that was probably down to promotion.  BF stated that The Mill Café was very keen to be fully involved next year as they are investing in PA. 

The BoF gig was well attended and fully funded by the pub. 

Great that we have sponsorship from local businesses, very much appreciated. 

## **5. Treasurer’s Report** 

On a negative note, we made a loss for the first time in several years, with a loss of £250.  The main impact was from using the Community Centre due to poor weather. 

JW suggested it could be an idea to use QR codes in indoor venues.  It was quite hard work getting business sponsorships in, but we got there in the end – total £1,750.98. 

Buckets - £1,378 

HT/PH to meet shortly to hand over books, etc 

MM thanked PH for all his hard work and stated that he had done a great job.  Everyone agreed. 

## **6. Any Other Competent Business** 

BF stated that the Mill was very keen to be involved in staging music events, eg if we wanted to stage a fund-raising gig. 

PH stated that the Murray Arms felt a bit left out.  Need to contact them early if we want to involve them. 

Ordinary meeting arranged for 1 December at 7.30pm in The Masonic.
