Govgrning Document
The Kupata Project is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and was incorporated on
20th March 2018. The purposes and administration arrangements are set out in the charity's
Constitution.
Charltable Purposes
The charity's purposes are lo relieve the needs of school girls in Uganda by supplying free sanitary war8
which will in turn allow the gids to attend school more regularFy.
Activities and Achievements
During 2024-2025 The Kupata Project provided re-usable sanitary pads to 2000 schoolgirls in six
schools in South West Uganda.
Trustees, Remuneration and Expensas
The Trustees did not receive any remuneration for their services and were not reimbursed for any
expenditure during the year.
Financial Review
The accounts show a deficit for the year of £1,376 (2024 - surplus £321). Reserves at the year end
were £945, which were all unrestricted.

I report on the unaudited accounts of the charity for the year ended 31st March 2025 set out on pages 2
and 3.
Respective Responslbilltles of the Commlttee Mombar and the Examiner
The charity's committee members are responsible for the preparation of th8 accounts in accordance with
the terms of The Charities and Trustee Investrnenl (Scotland) Act 2005 and The Charities Accounts
{Scolland) Regulations 2006. The charity committee rnembers consider that the audit requirement of
Regulation 10(1 Xd) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the
accounts as ￿qUired under Section 44(1)(G) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have
come to my attention.
Basis of Independent ExaMine￿S Report
My examination is carried out in accordanc￿ with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented wilh those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the committee members concerning
any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be ￿qUired in
an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the Vl8w given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner's Statement
In the course of my 8xamination. no matter has come to my attention:
1. Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requiremenls:
(a) to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 4411Xa> of the 2005 Act and
Regulation 4 of the 2006 accounts Regulath'ons; and
(b) to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9
of the 2006 Accounts Regulations.

the accounts to be reached.
