Objectives and activities
Charitable purposes
Our purpose is to promote and expand public participation in rugby and
wider sport across Peebles and its surrounding school communities. We
provide inclusive opportunities for people of all ages, genders and abilities
to take part, ensuring that rugby is accessible to everyone without
discrimination.
Summary of the main actlvltles
in relation to these objects
We advance public participation in rugby by delivering inclusive coaching
and playing opportunities for more than 450 people aged five to 65 across
Peebles and its school catchment area. Working with local schools, 100+
volunteers and a dedicated development officer, we provide weekly rugby
activity for over 400 children and young people, support all-ability
participation through Clan Rugby, and maintain strong community
engagement. Our facilities serve as a hub for local groups, helping
promote wellbeing and social connection beyond sport, all under the
governance of an active and accountable board.

The Charitable funding streams primarily Constitute 'donations° from the
Scottish Rugby Union together with corporate and individual sponsorship
{e.g. shirt sponsors for all sides associaled with the Club including Firsts,
Seconds, U16's and the Colts at U18 level). The charity owns a limited
company - for activities, like firsl team rugby or clubroom revenue- that
do not meet Ihe criteria for charity's incorporation. The accounts for which
are treated separately and profit from the limited is donated back to the
charity. If reserves are required - limited cash flow, for example- the
