Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of Our new Piglets sections has grown in strength this past

the charity during the financial period year. We have girls and boys ages 3years - 5 years coming along weekly to pay games to help co-ordination, jumping and running. Mini Section : Primary 1 - Primary7 : WE have had a development Officer going into the Primary Schools in the local area. This has brought in more members to the club. They now play a tournament inter schools. Our teams play many games with other clubs in the area. Midi Section : S1 - S4 : We have gained numbers in this section over the last year. Still find it hard to get into Carnoustie High School to do after school training. Colts Rugby : S5 - S6 : Still have members who play under the banner of Angus Colts with Montrose Rugby. Unfortunately we have had no 1st VX this past year. Adult rugby has seen a bit of a fall not only at Carnoustie but all over Scotland. We have appointed a person to try and recruit players and fingers crossed we will get full team out season 26/27.

Respective
responsibilities of
trustees and examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) 2005 Act and the
Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The charity trustees
consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations
does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section
44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent
examiner’s statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts
Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the
charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks
explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken
do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do
not express an audit opinion on the viewgiven bythe accounts.
