**What the charity does:** The organisation operates as a non-profit distributing charity whose principal objectives are: (a)	the advancement of public participation in Athletics as a sport. (b)	the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage   We operate under the rules of our governing body Scottish Athletics.  Our activities cover the range of the various branches of Athletics as a sport. This incldes Track and FIeld, Road Running and.Hill running.  We have approximately 40 coches that have appropriate expertise in the wide range of athletic events that provide support and education to over 400  members of the club.  Through our governing body we provide extensive training courses to ensure our coaches are providing appropriate training for our athletes aged 8 to 60+  Our Welfare Officer ensures that proper safeguarding polices are in place so that our members are safe and secure.

**Objectives:** to promote public participation in the sport of Athletics, including Track and Field, Cross Country, Road, Hill and Ultra Running, as defined by the Constitution and Rules of Scottish Athletics Limited (SAL)
