Appolntrnent of trustees The management committee, which normally meets on the last Thursday of each altemaie month, are the charltvs trustees. Membership of the management committee Is open to all members. To allow for some continuity of the committee it is also open to interested members of the community. Trustees are elected at the annual general meeting which is held on or around the end of September, with 2 weeks, noticegiven to the ccffimunity. There must be a minimum of four and a rnaximum of seven trustees. THe derelict space at the back ofthe Hall has become an attrartive and peaceful Comrnunlty Garden paved with benches, plants and trees in pots. The trustees maintain an unrestricted fund for the day-to-day runnin8 of the SCIO and an unrestricted fund designated for the shop income and expenditure. During the year the Charity received grants totalling £250 as detalled in note 4 and donations of £3,244 as detalled In note 5. Wlthln the donations figure there was a receipt of £2,408.75 from Leacainn Hydro to use in accordance wlth the charity's overall purpose. Designated funds are those unrestricted I'unds whlch have been set aside by trustees tor an essentlal spend or future purpose. Restrlcted funds may only be used for speclfSc purposes.
