**What the charity does:** Our MISSION We believe that everyone deserves somewhere to turn to. Our mission is to alleviate the stress and isolation that can come with living with a disability or long term condition. We want to help people make improvements to their own lives and believe that they are the expert when it comes to what matters most to them. We believe that everyone should be able to access the support and information that they need quickly and easily.  WE DO THIS BY:  One to One Support - Our advisors treat everyone as a unique individual,and work to provide as much support and information as required.  Raising Awareness - Through Our Open Days, Community Action Group &amp; events we are raising awareness of the challenges faced by people who live with disabilities.  Welfare Rights - Voiceability advocates help people to apply for benefits.  Blue Badges and Bus Passes - We can help you apply for or renew bus passes or blue badges. Self Directed Support - We are an independent SDS advice service

**Objectives:** The aim of Improving Lives is the relief of those in need by assisting the disabled community by reducing their isolation, increasing their sociability and contributing to their relative well being.   The promotion of equality for the disabled community by helping individuals play a greater role in society which in turn raises their collective profile across that society. Also promoting equality for disabled people by sharing information with the public to raise awareness of various disabilities and to remove any stigma or preconceived ideas about living with disability.
