The charity is Const￿Ute￿ as an unincorporated association. The purposes and administration of the
charity are set out in our const'tution.
Charltable purposes
To advan￿ the musical tU￿10n and education of the pupils of Lewis and Harris and others in the
tradition, heritage, and Cultu￿ of pipe music by providing and assisting in the provision of the Lewis ar%J
Harri5 Youth Pipe Band,. and
To advance the education of the public general￿ through public ￿rforManCe by the Lewis and Harris
Youth Pipe Band of pipe MUSK.
Artivities and achievements
In the past year, the Band were able to comFete at two competitions, The Scottish sch(￿11 Pipe Band
Championships and the Worfd Pipe Band Championships. Costs for these trips increases annualw to
accommodation costs. This year was another busy year for the band attending comrnunty events and
another year of partnership with Stornoway Port Authorty to welcome cruise ships dockiry at both the
new deep water port and in the town piers. Drumming tuition continued In the sch(x)Is as well as
progression for the Development Band members into the main Band. There was a150 a sU￿sSful concer
held in An Lanntair with the Lewis Pipe Band. The Drummers also had the oppcirtunity to compete in the
Worfd Solo Drumming Championships for the first time, which was a great experience for them.
Future plans
The Drummers will be competing in the World Solo Drumming Championships again in Ottober 2025. The
Band will also again be taking part in Scottish Schools competition in March 2026 and at lea# one other
mainland competition, as funds allow. New equipment will also sourced to ensure the Band has
adequats instruments for all members.

I report on the accounts tsf the charity for the year ended 30 September 2025 which are set out on pages
4t05.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charty's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordan￿ wth the terms of
the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 C￿e 2005 ACV) and the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006 las amended) Cthe 2006 Regulations). The charity s trustees consider that
the aud￿ requirement of Regulation 10{l}Idl of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. It is my
responsibility to examine the accounts as reqUI￿d under section +l{l)(cl of the 2005 Act and to stste
whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basi5 of independent exam•nerfs ststement
My examinat￿￿ is carried Dut in accordance with Regulab'on 11 of the 2006 Regulations. An examinat*on
includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charty and a comparison of the accounts
preserTrted with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees o)ncerning any such rnatters. The procedures
undertaken do not provide all the eviden￿ that would ￿ required in an audit, and consequently I do not
express an audit opinion on the view given by the a￿ountS.
Independent examinerf5 Statement
In the course of my examination, no rnatter has come to my attention-
l. which gives me ￿?SOnable cause to believe that in any material ￿spert the reouirements- .
to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(11{al of the 2005 Act and Regulation
4 of the 2006 Regulations, and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting re(Drds and comply with Regulats'on 9
of the 2006 Regulations have not teen rnet, or
2. to which, in my opinion, attent￿0￿ Shou￿ be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the
accounts to be reached.
