The trustees have pleasure in presenting their report together with the financial statements and the independent examiner’s report for the year ended 05 April 2025.

## Constitution
The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (a SCIO). It was registered in its current legal form on 31 October 2017. The purposes and administration arrangements are set out in our constitution.
## Appointment of trustees
Charity Trusteeship is open to any person aged 16 or over; and/or any individual who has been nominated for membership by an unincorporated organisation; and/or any corporate body, who subscribes to the purposes of the organisation and wishes to see them fulfilled. Trustee applications are considered by the Board at its next Board meeting.
The maximum number of Charity Trustees is eleven and the minimum number is three.
## Management
The Trustees are responsible for the management and governance of the charity.
## Objectives and Activities
## Charitable purposes
Our purpose, as recorded in our constitution, is to
- e Advance arts and culture by creating educational development opportunities for emerging artists to further their practice;
- e Advance education by providing music and art workshops, rehearsals and performance opportunities for young people, through providing young people with opportunities for personal development and achievement, and through supporting young people's development of a range of life skills including group working, leadership and decision making; and
- e Organise recreational activities in the arts for young people and the general public, with the object of improving the conditions of life for these people
## Activities
Ignite Arts have been researching opportunities that exist in Scotland for music workshops for d/Deaf children in Scotland. On the back of this research, we have put together a proposal for a series of workshops in 2025. We have submitted funding proposals to a range of trusts and foundations, and are pleased to have some confirmed, and are awaiting decisions on others.
## Achievements and Performance
We were pleased to have been awarded funding from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Fund towards educational music workshops for d/Deaf children. These are scheduled for May 2025.
## Financial review
Payments of £94 were made in the year. The resultant deficit of £94 for the year was funded by reserves.
## Reserves policy
The trustees’ policy is to cover the costs of the next activity and to cover any unexpected expenditure. At the end of the year Reserves were £1,171.
## Plans for future period
We are delivering a seminar for music educators in May 2025 at the RCS, focused on working effectively with d/Deaf participants. This will be followed by a music workshop for 0-18 year olds, held at Lanarkshire Deaf Hub. We are in the process of applying for further funding to hold a more extensive series of music workshops for d/Deaf children in 2025/6.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Ignite Arts | report on the financial statements of the Charity for the year ended 05 April 2025, which are set out on pages 6-8.
## Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
## Basis of Independent Examiner’s Statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, | do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
## Independent Examiner’s Statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations; and
- ¢ to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or
2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## 1 Basis of accounting
These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).
## 2 Nature and purpose of funds
Unrestricted funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the objects of the charity. The trustees maintain a single unrestricted fund for the day-to-day running of the Charity.
Restricted funds may only be used for specific purposes. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for specific purposes. During the year ended 05 April 2025, the Charity did not receive any restricted funds.
## 3 Related party transactions
No remuneration was paid to the trustees or any connected persons during the year.
No travelling expenses were paid to Trustees during the year.
