Meeting5 continue on a weekly basis on Wednesday mornings, once the buildln8 work is compl we must consider how many times a week we are open and for how many hours, it wlll be a completd waste of the facilities we have if the Shed is only open once a week. Buildin Pro ert The project is nearin8 completion and should be finished by the end of 2025 with just s landscapin8 in the outside area to be done. The Pavilion and Hobby Room were completed and suitable for occupation at the start of uly 2024 but plannin8 conditions stated that the site cannot be occupled until all construction work was c mpleted and ready for occupation. This meanl the Acwstic Barrier had to be completed before any p of the site could be used for Shed Meetings. After consultation with our Architect and completion of athways and lidying up the site we were able to apply to Moray Council for a Temporary Occupation Notke. Activities Since the 2024 AGM. with the ongoin8 Buildin8 Project almost complete the Shed was able to hold the following events.. The supper wa5 enjoyed by all attendee's and therd are plans to make it an annual event. Substantial sums had teen foregathered to fund such development and the overall expenditure on matenals and services reflects this. For the most part club members provided the manpower and eXpe￿se to undertake the construction and renovalion of the propety h(￿ever. where specialist skills were required such as trenching and grOun￿orks, these were mosty undertaken by rA)ntractors. A ￿e chart ShO￿ng an anatysis of Ihe main areas of expenditure this year is attached to this retum. It had teen hoped that the project would be completed wrthin Ihis financial year however a variety of factors, including Inclement weather and delays in achieving service conneclions, meant that this deadline was not achieved However. with a view towards maximising the progress made and encouraging memtership, application was made to the planning authority to waive a restrictive condtb'on which prevented use of any part of the premises until It was rxjmplete in its entirety This application was successful and members are now able to access using the main building and Hobts"es Room with only the Workshop area remaining 'out of bounds. It is reccgnised that. (hving to the continued rale of inflation affecting building costs the remaining balances may be insufficient to complete the internal and extemal works remaining and a plan is in place to address such shortfall.
