**Purposes:** 'the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

**What the charity does:** To provide a recreation facilities and address social needs for the local  community. The philosophy is to enable members of the local community to engage  in activities offered at their own pace and of  their own choice without pressure and to socialise in a safe environment. This addresses the need to reduce social isolation, contribute to mental and physical wellbeing within the community. No fixed time commitment is required, members can drop in at their convenience for a brew or a chat, perhaps a game of cards or get assitance to make personal projects. These range from bird boxes, , wood turning, furniture repair, garden planers to refurbishing park benches.

**Objectives:** The purpose of the organisation is to provide recreational facilities and advance the social needs, health and well being of men of all ages and backgrounds living in Moffat and surrounding areas  By:  1. Creating, developing and maintaining a facility, namely a Men's Shed.  2. Offering opportunities for men in the Moffat area to meet and undertake creative, physical, purposeful and recreational activities of their choice.  3. Reducing isolation of men in the area thus contributing to their physical and mental wellbeing.  4. Developing the capacity of men in the Moffat area to share their skills and knowledge with others in the community.
