The organisation's purpose is advancement of public participation in sport In Hawick,
specifically Amateur Foolball.
Maln Activities In Relation to the Charitable Purposes
We are an amateur Football Club alfiliated to SAFA, we have a team competing In the Border
Amateur Football League. Over 50 people are involved as members and players. aged from
16 upwards, we have expanded lo include the Hawick Legion Walking Football Club for older
players a9ed S0+ We own our premiaes at Bwnton Park, Hawick. TD9 8EW which proyide
changing rooms, toilets, kitchen and a player3 lounge.

Achlevements & Performance
Hawick Legion Amateur Football Club was formed as a SCIO In 2017 to provlde a new
incorporated legal structure for a Club originally founded 72 years ago. The players and
coaching stsff are still enjoying the new facilities and they have a pla￿ to soclallse before
and after games arKI this also helps the younger players improve their sodal skllls. We
havehad a great response from the local residents who Gome out and support the team on
rnatGh deys and the facilities are still being used by different groups within the communrty.
The facilities have been u8ed for l(Lal youth rugby arKI football tournaments and the
Burnfoot community council have holding monthly m*b'ng in the facilities.
Flnanclal Revlew & Reserves Pollcy
These accounts cover a period of 12 months. Total funds held at 30 April 2025 were
£10,937.62Administrative support and expenses were donated.
Our Reserves Policy states that: The monie3 Standing to the credit of the Account shall be
applied as the Charity Trustees decide in repairing and insuring the organisation's prernises
or the furniture and effects therein, together with the running costs, and in managing the
operation ol our teams. The Chanty Trustees shall hold a reseNe of £10,000 for
maintenanGe of the property as a whole.
Nature & Purpo80 of Funds
All funds raised are used for the m8n8gement and maintenance of the property arKI for the
Club's activities in pursuance of the objects.

Receptlve Responsibilltles of TThstee & Examlner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the tenns of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) 2005 Act and the Charities
Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit
requirement of Regulation 10(1) (dj of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my
responslbllSty to examine t￿ accounts as required under section 44(1) {c) of the Act and to
state whether partlcular matters have come to my attenth'on.
Basls of Independent Examlnerfs Statement
My examination is carried out in accordan￿ with Regulation 11 of the Charities Acc￿rtS
(Scotland) Regulatlons 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records
kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also
includes consideratlon of any unusual Items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks
explanations from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do
not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not
express an audit opinion on the accounts.

In the course of my exarnination, no matter has come to my attention
which gives me reasonable caL6e to believe that in any rnaterial respect the
quirements:
