Chairpersons Report 2024/2025

This is our seventh report as a registered charity. We continue to operate the service to locally disadvantaged adults.

We have just completed the final part of a relocation of our service from our original addressSs toa new address at the Sandveien Neighbourhood Centre, ay

This relocation has in the main been due to the intention of our landlord to sell the premises in 2026, and the expiry of our 9 year lease in April 2026. The new location offers more scope to introduce additional activities to our clients inc. Gym Hall, Darts Room, Pool Table, TV room etc. Car parking and general access are also much improved.

Lease costs have subsequently reduced from £800 per CM to approx. $200 - £250 per CM giving us a substantial cost saving and places less strain on fund raising and other income streams.

As per the recent OSCR approved changes to our constitution we now also offer a Sunday Worship service to clients and the public. We are again at an early stage with this but hope this new initiative will prove popular and beneficial.

Our client attendance figures on drop-in days have increased slightly and is an encouraging early sign.

The charity purchased a small Vauxhall Combo van in April this year which helps in our general day to day operations.

Our volunteers, and supporters deserve a special mention without whom our services could not operate successfully - grateful thanks to them all.

We now look forward to supporting more clients in the sector by offering an increased and enhanced level of activities and facilities. EE 2:02:50. Cedar Centre.
