The objective of the charity is to support (financially or otherwise) registered charities, voluntary groups and community groups. In doing so providing public benefit with a primary focus on: • Advancement of health for those who suffer from illness, disease or other ailment of any nature. and • Support those in need or assistance due to hardship or disadvantage as the charity Trustees may determine. This is achieved by distributing its income, after allowing for administration expenses, by means of grants, donations and gifts.

Objectives: 7.1 The SCIO will promote, advance and further its Charitable purposes by operating as a 'grant giving' charity which will primarily support, financially and otherwise, registered charities but will also be able to support community and voluntary groups and others as that will further the SCIO's Charitable purposes as deemed appropriate by the Charity Trustees and in doing so provide public benefit with a primary (but not exclusive) and current focus on the advancement of health for those who suffer from illness, disease or other ailment of any nature or to support those in need or assistance due to hardship or disadvantage as the Charity Trustees may determine.
