**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of citizenship or community development&#x27;,&#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation&#x27;,&#x27;the promotion of equality and diversity&#x27;,&#x27;the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage&#x27;

**What the charity does:** To provide advocacy and support to people who are deaf and from Ethnic Minority and their families.  Organise wellbeing activities and information workshop.  Provide full access to communication (Deaf Relay service)

**Objectives:** • The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by: signposting and support in advocacy and linking in partnership with health professionals, And. providing information support &amp; advice to ethnic minority deaf people and their families by signposting &amp; advocating on their behalf on monetary and benefit entitlement. • The promotion of equality and diversity to advance social justice for the ethnic minority deaf community through awareness raising programmes and community development practices. • The incorporation of equality and human rights approach in all areas of organisational development and delivery of services. • The advancement of citizenship and community development through promoting social inclusion, assisting in removing communication and cultural barriers and building links between local deaf communities and policy makers. And by, empowering ethnic minority deaf community in their participation in civil life and tackling exclusion through community initiatives, training, promoting wider public recognition of their needs and cultural identity as deaf community. • The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the person for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
