**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of public participation in sport&#x27;

**What the charity does:** The organisation&#x27;s purposes are to advance public participation in basketball. This will be achieved by:  •	Offering participation and competitive opportunities in basketball •	Promoting the club within the community •	Ensuring a duty of care to all members of the club •	Providing all its services in a way that is fair to everyone  This year we continue to provide sessions and appropriate competition opportunities for all age groups (U10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and senior) through in-house competitions, local league and national league where appropriate. We also provide a weekly drop-in adult session for all abilities. We have over twenty sessions a week across three high schools and one sports center in Cumbernauld.  We continue to provide opportunities for our members to gain skills and qualifications such as coaching, first aid and child protection.

**Objectives:** The organisation&#x27;s puposes are to advance public participation in basketball. This will be achieved by:  - offering participation and competitive opportunities in basketball.  - promoting the club within the community.  - ensuring a duty of care to all members of the club. and  - providing all its services in a way that is fair to everyone.
