It was registered in its current legal form on 1 September 2017. The charity was previously an unincorporated association but changed its legal form to a SCIO. The assets of the unincorporated association were transferred to the SCIO on the 1 September 2017. The Charity has a single tier structure and as such the Trustees are the members of the charity. ## **Governance** The Charity is governed by its constitution. ## **Management** ## **The Board** The Charity is managed by the Board which are the Charity’s Trustees. The Board meets as required. ## **Appointment of trustees** Trustees are elected at the annual general meeting. There is to be a minimum of three and a maximum of six trustees. ## **Objectives and Activities** ## **Charitable purposes** The Charity is a local expression of the Body of Christ, the Church, which acknowledges Christ’s Divine Headship, recognises His presence through the Holy Spirit, and regulates its practices according to the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God, the Word of Christ, where they also experience Him through the Holy Spirit. The Charity’s purpose is to advance the Christian Religion and Community Development by knowing God ever more and making Him known, leading to the love and obedient service of God, with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength and the love of our neighbours as ourselves. 2 To this end, the Church is committed to doing life together with the Lord Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and with each other through the provision, encouragement, and promotion of Gathered Church Worship, study of the Holy Scriptures, prayer, discipleship opportunities, Biblical life and family help and other religious activities, including outreach to the community, visiting the lonely, the sick, and the dying, available for members of the congregation and the local community. ## **Activities** During the year the activities of the Church were carried out consistent with its charitable purposes. Regular Gathered Church Worship of God the Father, through God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, in the power of God the Holy Spirit, continued on Sundays. For those that were not able to participate in the Gathered Worship in person, interactive Gathered Worship was provided through Zoom in a way that was very conducive for personal and Gathered Worship. Together we Worshipped God through the singing of music from the heart, the sharing of testimonies to God’s work in our lives, individual and open corporate prayer, fellowship with each other, and most importantly through the expositional preaching of the Word of God, the Word of Christ, which is active and alive, life changing and transforming, as it is breathed out by Him, in the light and power of the Holy Spirit. Bible Studies and learning opportunities were available during the week. Gathered Fellowship dinners and events were periodically held at the Church’s building, to which the community and passers by were welcome, and there were Fellowship meals in people’s homes through out the year. On going Biblical life and family help was provided on an individual basis. Visitation, fellowship, and hospitality were conducted in homes and where the Church meets. These visitations included the sick and dying as they were ministered to in the hospital, and in their homes. The Good News of God, the Gospel of Christ, was shared with those that we met around us, each day along the way, as led by God the Holy Spirit. The emphasis through all of the activities focused on our doing life together, as Spiritual Family, adopted Children of God, through faith in Christ alone, through knowing, loving, and obeying God ever more, since He caused us to be Born Again, resulting in our loving each other and our neighbours ever more. In other words, our activities were in no way an attempt to gain any kind of favour or merit from God, rather our activities flowed from the love of God, God Himself in us, Who was in our God transformed hearts and renewed minds. 3 ## **Financial review** In accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 (‘the 2005 Act’) and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) and being a charity with an annual gross income less than £250,000, the Accounts have been prepared on the _Receipts and Payments_ basis and are set out in pages 6 to 8. The _Statement of Receipts and Payments_ on page 6 , related to the ordinary or Unrestricted Funds, reflects a Surplus for the year of £2,428. This reflects an increase in general Offerings and a significant decrease in energy cost for the year primarily due to a change in supplier. This Report was approved by the Trustees on 29 January 2026 and signed on their behalf by: _Trustee_ 4 ## **Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of The Barrhead Evangelical Church SC047699** I report on the accounts of the above charity for the year ended 30 April 2025 which are set out on pages 1 to 8. ## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner** The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. ## **Basis of independent examiner’s statement** My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. ## **Independent examiner’s statement** In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention 1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: • to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations • to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or 2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. 5 ## The Barrhead Evan elical Church g ## **Statement of Receipts and Payments** _for the Year Ended 30 April 2025_ |**Receipts**

-| |||||13,420| 7 ## The Barrhead Evangelical Church **Notes to the Accounts** _for the Year Ended 30 April 2025_ ## **1 Basis of Accounting** These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) ## **2 Nature and Purpose of Funds** Unrestricted Funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the objects of the charity. The trustees maintain a single Unrestricted Fund for the day-to-day running of the Charity. Restricted Funds may only be used for specific purposes. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for specific purposes ## **3 Related Party Transactions** No remuneration was paid to the trustees or any connected persons during the year. 8
