Recrultsnent and appolntment of Trustees
Throughoutthe year we seek new members who we encourage to take a mofe active part
in their community and share their knowledge in the interests of improving the Groups
ability to do its best for the people of Sauchie.
A committee is elected from all our members at our AGM to Serve for one year and all are
Trustees. If a Trustee resigns all members are notffied of the vacanry and an election will be
held at the next full meeting of the Group to fill the vacanry. Trustees may serve for more
than one year rf no one else is interested in the vacant position.
Governing document
The Community Group was registered as a charity on the 27th February 1997. The Group
became a SCIO on 21st August 2017 and ￿aSed to be a charity on the same date.
The purposes and adminstration of the group are set out in the constitution.

Activities and athievements
2024-2025
Public Meeti
Our monthly meetings are always well attended every month and we were pleased to welcome
lots of new members. Guest speakers, Pollce Scotland and our local Coundllors play a valuable role ai
the monthly meeting and we are grateful for their attendance and contribution. Lots of local issues
nave oeen resolved as a result of our monthly meetin&
Yearl Events
We have had a very successful year with an increasing number of events being held and an ever
increasing number of people attending. Our Christmas Extravaganza continues to grow in popularity
and it was another sell out. Our Bums Supper. StAndre￿5 Night, Ho8manay party,
Festival of Lights were all busy. This year. we also received a vistt from HRH The King.
Monthl Events
Soup and Sandwich ￿MaInS as very popular. To reflect increasing costs, we have increased our
charEe for entry. but it remains good value for money.
Fortni
htl
The gardening group continues to grow, with a new extended garden. The community garden is open all
the time and we encourage everyone to Use it. Soon. we shall have a new community hut in the garden.
Weekl
All of our weekly attivities are very busy, they are: Scat005h singing group. Sauchie
Community Group choir, Carpet Bowls, Film Club, Arts and Crafts Group, and Chatty Latte.
Numbers attending have all increased. New partiCipar￿ are welcome.
Dail
Sauchie Tiny Tots remains very popularand often is at capacity.
Partnershi
Sauchie Communwty Group continues to build and create new patherships with other local charities
and third 5eLtor organi5ations. Our'Thank You for the Music, group {which is a sub group of 5auchie
Community Group) continues to attend our local care homes every week to sing with residents who
are living with dementia.

Main Athievements
Sauchie Community Group SCIO continues to grow every year. We were delighted to welcome HM King
Charles111 to Sauchie Resource Centre as part of his Royal Tour. He chatted with volunteers and visited
our community garden. We also had a visitfrom the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, who
was joined by a number of Members of the Scottish ParliaTnent to find out aboutthe work that we do
in the area. Both of these visits are testimonyto hard and tireless work of our volunteers do every day
to contrlbute to the ethos of the local area. and we are pleased to be able to showcase that on a
national scale.
As always, we are extremely grateful to all of those who support our work. including our funders: The
Big Lottery. The Robertson Trust. Clackmannanshire c￿jnc11. Clackmannanshire Third Sertor Interface
ICTSII and Volunteering Matters. We are also thankful to the many donations we re￿1ve throughout
the year: to those who donate when our Sauchie Community Group Choir and Scatoosh are singing at
the local supemiarkets; to the many people who come along to our concerts and gigs. Collertively, we
are in a strong financial posrtion moving forward - despite the many challenges that we have, e.g.
increasing costs, particularly energy.
This has been another year of concerts, events, gigs. mÈetings. activities and collaboration. As you will
see from our accounts, everythin8 is increasing in popularity, meanin8 that demand for our serrfitrs has
risen again. Therefore. we have taken the steps to build a 'V￿lIbeIng huy in the garden, which will open
this summer- this will mean that we can put on more activities and reach more people.

Sauchie Community Group, and all the volunteers who help with the daily organising and running of the
organisation.
Sauchie Community Group SCIO has played its part in this community for morethan three decades, and
l am delighted that through hard wort determination and a lot of fun. we are in the strongest position
as an organisation that we have ever been in, and l am excited for what the future brings for our
organisation. our local area and the local community.
Reserves
The Community Group holds a balance of £41,932.04 of which £9,248.66 15 restricted.
The balance of £32683.38 is a general fund and is availableto be used
in order to run activities and meet unforeseen expense.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31st March 2025
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner: The charivs trustees are responsible for the
Preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment
{Scotland} Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2(I)6. The charity trustees
consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10{1) (d) of the 21x16 Accounts Regulations does not
apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(l> Icl of the Act and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examinerfs ststement: My examination is carried out in accordan￿ with
Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting
records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also
includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations
from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the
evidence that would be required in an audit. and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on
the view given by the accounts.
Independent examlnerfs statement: In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my
attention
l. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements..
to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44{1) (a) of the 2005 Art and Regulation 4 of
the 2006 Accounts Regulations
• to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the
2006 Accounts Regulations
have not been met, or
2. to which, in my opinion. attention should be drawn in order to enabte a proper understanding of
the accounts to be reached.
