The group has conducted path improvements, organised village clean-ups, and provided and maintained flowers and plants throughout the village. We also supply hanging baskets annually on Main Street and Ayr Road in Douglas. In an innovative fund-raising event DRG organised \u2018Gig in the Grounds\u2019 starting as a one-day event, becoming two days and then since 2019 it became  three days due to the popularity of it and more bands wanting to play. It is a music and history festival, family fun day attended by many from the local community and further afield. In 2023 we took ownership of Douglasdale Community Woodland through an asset transfer from South Lanarkshire Council.
