Activities and Achievements
It has been a busy time for Angus Voice we have continued our good work locally in improving mental health services using our lived experience network.
Allied to this we have continued our role on steering groups locally to develop more lived experience on new models of Care in mental health and to develop practices whereby physical health can be supported to those with mental health issues.
We have also attended some conferences both locally and nationally to discover new innovative practices in mental health and also to foster development of ideas in mental health, as well as networking opportunities.
We have also continued our supportive groups and new members have joined our walking groups and benefitted from our cinema group. As Chair it’s great to be involved in these and see the help we are providing.
| as Chair have also completed further studies in mental health to be more aligned with new issues in the mental health field and our Project Worker also hopes to do some studies soon.
We have also been delighted to help facilitate the development of the new Angus wide well-being centre that is now fully opened and based in Arbroath.
Our Xmas meal for members and staff and board also went really well.
We are also still involved with helping Social Work students with mental health ideas within the University networks in Dundee and Aberdeen.
| would like to thank our board of trustees and also our Project Worker for the continued growth of Angus Voice and the great effort we put in to be advocates for mental health development now and in the future.
