Introductio
Al-Huda Islamic Centre Glasgow is a small Scottish Charity ISC047529), and operating in Glasgow. We seek to support
the advancement of religion, the provision of recreational facilities. or the organisalion of recreational activities, with the
object of imFYoving the Conditions ol life for the persons foi whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, the
promotson ot religious or raGial harmony.
Aim8lOb'ectives
The Charity's objects are $pecifi¢ally restricted to the following.. To promte and faalitale the advancement of Muslim
culture and teachings and its ethos, wlhin the Muslim community and the rest of the community at large. thereby
providing better knowledge and understanding of Muslim culture by other communities and promoting integration of
other diverse communities,. To promote the physical, intellectual. social, moral and spiritual development of all members
of the Muslim community with an emphasis on young people. and by providing a broad range of educational,
recreab'onal and spiritual activities and To promote racial and religious ham)ony and mutual respect between the Muslim
community and other communities, thus enabling the Muslim community to participate in and fully conthbute lo all
&spect8 of civic life
Aclivities
Organised religious events for society members {Friday prayeis, Muharram events, Eicl evenlsl.
Arranged various activities carried out during month of Ramadhan and Muharram.
Arranged public lectures on community matters, groups dlscusslon (English, Arabic & Urdul and weekty Frfday
prayers, charity and cultural events.
Organising events for youth, women and other Membe￿ of the community on numerous topics of interest lo the
community.

The committee members are resp)nsible for the proparalion of the accounts for ea¢h financial year, which gives a true
and fair review of the stale of affa￿8 at the end of the year and of its results for that period. In preparing those
a￿Ount5 the members Sra required to.,

Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent
Stale whether applicable accounting standards have been followed
Prepare the accounts on the going concern basi6 unless il ig inappropnate to assume that the scheme
will continue
The Committee rnembers are responsible for keeping proper accounllng records which disclose with reasonable
accuraoy al any lime the financK31 position of the project and which will onable them to Gomply with accounting
proCedU￿S of The Law Reforrn (Miscellaneous Provisions) IS¢ollandl Act 1990 and The Charities Accounts (Scollandl
regulations 1992. As a Scottish charity they musl also comply with the appluble lerrr6 and provisions of the Charities
& Trustee Investment IScoll8ndl Regulations 2006. They are responsible forsafeguarding the assets ofthe organisation
and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detectton of fraud or other Irregularities.
We shall continue to wort( to deliver the successful assi$tsnc8 and help required by our service users to the
consi81enlly high standard we have been renowned for.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers and supporters from the whole community for their

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities
and Trustee Investment (Scotland) 2005 Acl and the Charities Accounts Iscotlandl Regulations 2006. The charity
trustees Consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10111 Idl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my
responsibility to examine the accounts as requir&J under seclKJn 44{11 Ic) of the Act and to state whether particular
matters have come lo my attention.

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities A¢￿UnIS Iscoliandl Regutations 2006.
An examination includes a review of the accounting Tecords kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual itenL8 or disclosures in the accounts and
seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all Ihe
evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an 8udit opinion on the acuunts_
