Objectives & Activities
Charitable purposes
During 2025 the trustees applied to amend our charitable purposes to better reflect our current work. On 3 June 2025 OSCR gave consent to make our proposed changes to our constitution and on 23 June 2025 the trustees/members agreed the amendments fo the constitution.
The organisation’s charitable purposes are now:
-
e to advance the health and relieve the need of people who are dying and their families and carers;
-
e the advancement of education to members of the public as well as healthcare professionals, families, carers and those whose lives bring them in touch with the psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of death, grief and loss;
-
e the advancement of the arts, through creation of resources, development of artistic knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts, and to increase the accessibility of the arts to support those experiencing death, grief and loss.
Activities
Our charity offers personal, practical and emotional support to people who are dying and those close to them. We can provide information, a listening ear, equipment and access to holistic therapists. We can help with care, paperwork, errands, Power of Attorney and getting affairs in order. We also research and share ways of transforming grief with sound.

Achievements & Performance
We continue to be available to provide advice and support to local people. We arranged a workshop Living Until We Say Goodbye and have begun to update our website.
We have continued researching the potential of the Scottish Pibroch, an ancient grieving tool, for supporting and transforming grief and began to develop a video resource for this.
Financial Review
Our income this year was £0. Payments were £1,508. The resultant deficit was £1,508 giving unrestricted funds of £4,784 and no restricted funds.
Reserves Policy
The trustee’s policy is to maintain unrestricted reserves of 3 months running costs in order to meet commitments and to cover any unexpected expenditure. Our monthly running cost is currently less than £50. Unrestricted reserves at the end of the year were £4,784 so we have no concerns about reserves.
Plans for Future Periods
In the coming year the charity will continue to provide personal, practical and emotional support in people’s homes and develop a volunteer base in response to needs. We will provide online education sessions for formal and informal carers if the opportunity arises. We will continue to research the transformative effects of sound on grief and develop our library of resources.

The charity’s trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1)(d) of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner’s Statement
-
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:-
-
1 which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements:-
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act
-
and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations, and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Regulations have not been met, or
-
2 to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
