## Structure: Governance and Management Governing Document 

The Mortlach Memorial Hall Dufftown is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) 

Recruitment and Appointment of Trustees Trustees recruited to the Board are from Dufftown and surrounding areas who are considered to have appropriate gifts and skills to manage the running of Mortlach Memorial Hall Dufftown Organisional Structure Objectives and Activities The Mortlach Memorial Hall Dufftown is providing a dedicated facility/(ies) to meet the needs of local inhabitants and from surrounding area to be used for the purposes of physical, social, recreation, educational and entertainment which may be required by the inhabitants of the Parish of Mortlach in the County of Banffshire/Moray and its immediate vicinity without distinction of gender or political, religious or other opinions. 

The Trustees shall manage and maintain the said facility/(ies) in line with current legislation. Financial Review 

The main source of income is the letting of our Main Hall: Back Hall and Committee Room. Fund raising is also a regular source of income and the Trustees family and friends and members of the Community are always willing to help towards this cause. 

Our funds are all Unrestricted going towards the upkeep and improvement of facilities. Achievements and Performance Mortlach Memorial Hall Dufftown Trustees have been busy the past twelve months fundraising to pay for upgrades to the Hall. We have held Ceilidh’s, Quiz Nights, Soup and Sweets, Car Boot Sales and a Children's Clothes Swop with our local Community Association. 

We have also received funding Grants from The Baxter's Foundation, Dorenell and ASDA. 

The Committee Room has been redecorated with new heating and blinds installed and we await the laying of new flooring. 

The Hall electrics and emergency lighting have been upgraded. In the next twelve months we will be installing replacement windows in the main hall and the gent's toilets. This will complete all windows in the Original hall and they will all be double glazed. Our Hall Lets are increasing for public events and activities and more fund raising planned, we are looking forward to another busy year. Reserves Policy 

It is the Trustees policy to hold liquid reserves currently held in the Scottish Widows Account.
