The year presented a number of operational operational challenges. Following an unsuccessful application for multi-year funding from Creative Scotland, the organisation entered a period of financial uncertainty. The Board and Coordinator worked closely to stabilise the organisation while maintaining a reduced programme of activity. Transitional funding from Creative Scotland and support from Bord na Gaidhlig enabled Cedi is Craic to continue delivering core activities and to maintain its presence within the cultural sector.
The organisation also faced significant venue disruption due to ongoing closures at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA), historically its principal venue. In response, Cedl is Craic successfully delivered events in alternative venues across Glasgow, demonstrating adaptability and maintaining audience engagement despite these challenges.
During the year the organisation continued to strengthen its governance and financial oversight processes, with the Board working closely with the Coordinator to ensure responsible management of resources and effective strategic planning.
