To work with the Elphinstone Institute to develop its educational programme and to take it into the communities of the North and North-East of Scotland, encouraging understanding of the cultures of the North and North East and pursue grants and donations for local and international cultural and musical festivals.
Objectives: To work with the Elphinstone Institute to develop its educational programme and to take it into the communities of the North and North-East of Scotland, encouraging understanding of the cultures of the North and North East and encouraging participation in cultural activities within local communities as well as bringing members of the community into the University to develop their learning. To organise and fund - alone and in partnership with like-purposed bodies - cultural events which showcase and develop the culture and traditions of the North and North-East and encourage and enable participation in cultural activities by members of the public.
