2. Structure, Governance and Management
Constitution
The Scottish ADHD Coalition is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO). The
charity exists to provide a nauonal voice for ADHD peer-support groups across Scodand and io
Strengthen awareness, understanding. and suppon for ADHD within public services.
Appointment of Trnstees
Trustees are appointed in accordance with the constitution. Elections nornially take place at the
Annual General Meeting. The board reviews its skills and capacity annually 10 ensure effective
governance.
Organisational Structure
The trustees meet regularly to oversee governance, finances, strategic direction, and operational
activity. The charity has no paid staff; all work is carried out by trustees and volunteers.
Risk Management
The trustees review risks annually, focusing on:
financial sustainability
volunteer capacity
reputational risk
data protection and safeguarding
the impact of national ADHD service pressure5 on demand for suppon
Controls are proportionate to the size and nature of the charity.

3. Objectives and Activities
Charitable Purposes
The charity's purposes. as set out in the constitution. are:
l. To raise awarene&s of ADHD and of the voluntary support groups available co parents and
people with ADHD across Scotland.
2. To build the capacity of leaders of voluntary ADHD groups, supporting them to run
effective, sustainable local Services through shared ideas, resources and encouragement.
3. To represent the view5 of member groups and the people they support, providing a
platfonn for joint catnpaigning to improve diagnosis and support across Scottish public
services. includRng the NHS. educaiion. local authorities. poEice and the crirninal justice
system.

Activities During the Year
During the reporting period, the charity undertook a wide range of activities aligned to its purposes:
Participation in ADHD Europe
Trustees aitended the ADHD Europe AGM in London in April 2025, where Ihe Scottish
ADHD Coalition was fonTJally accepted as a member organisation. This strengthened
Scotland's representation in European ADHD advocacy and created new opporluniiies for
collaboration.
Attendance at the 10th World Congress on ADHD (Prague, May 2025)
Tlusiees represented Scotland at this major global event, engaging with researchers,
clinicians, policymakers and advocates. Attendance enabled the Coalition Co bring back
up-to-dace knowledge on ADHD research, treatment pathways. and international best
practice.
Annual General Meeting (20 May 2025)
The AGM provided an opportuntty to review progress. discus5 national ADHD
developments, and reaffirm the Coalition's strategic priorities.
Engagement with the Scottish Parlialnent's Special Interest Group on Adult ADHD
Trustees contributed 10 discussions on adult ADHD services, including the national
medication shortages. The Coalition provided insight frorn peer-supporc groups and
individuals across Scotland, ensuring lived experience was represented in policy
conversations.
Digital information and awareness-raising
The Coalition Tnainlained an acuve Facebook presence, sharing relevant news. research
participation opportunities. service updates. and ADHD-relaled resources.
Direct 5UPPOrt and signposting
The info@ mailbox remained an important route for individuals seeking guidance,
infonnation or signposcing to local suppott.
Website maintenance and re50ll￿e development
The Coalition's website continued to serve as Scodand's most cornprehensive directory of
ADHD peer-support groups and a trusted source of ADHD infonnation.

4. Achievements and Performance
The trustees consider the year to have been productive and strategically signifRcant. Key
achievemellts include:
Strengthening Scotland's intemational presence through membership of ADHD Europe.
Representing Scottish lived experience at the World Congress on ADHD.
Contributing to national policy discussions oll adult ADHD Se￿iceS and medicauon
shortages.
Maintaining and expanding the national directory of ADHD peer-support groups.
Providing ongoing signposting and support to individuals seeking infonnation or guidance.
Sustaining a national digital presence that shares reliable information and amplifies the work
of local groups.
The tn]stees are satisfied that the charity has delivered clear public benefit, in line wilh OSCR'S
guidance.

5. Financial Review
Income
Total income for the year was £32,929, including a one-off donation of £30,000.
Expenditure
Total payments for the year were £4,738, consisting primarily of charitable activity costs.
Reserves
The charity held a balance of £520 in cash at the beginning of the year.
Surplus l Deficit
The year-end position shows a balance of £28,711. reflecting rhe timing of receipts and payments.
The t￿Stee5 aim to maintain tnodest reserves to ensure continuity and cover essential operational
costs.
Going Concern
The trusiees consider the charity to be financially stable due lo low overheads and the significant
one-off donauon received during the year.

6. Future Plans
The trustees have identified the following prioritie5 for the coming year:
Publishing new guides on:
setting up ADHD peer support groups
navigating ADHD pathways for children
navigating ADHD pathways for adults
Visiting area5 of Scotland where new peer suppon groups may be established.
Providing individual sUPPOrt ro help establish new peer support groups.
Improving communication, skills developrneni, education and resilience for peer support
groups through:
a WhatsApp Community
new bi-monthly online meetings for or8ani5ers
Delivering monthly one-hour online workshops on a range of topics. led by established
professionals.
Increa5in8 the pool of trustees, with a focus on expanding the range of skills and experience
represented.
Implementing successlon planning for trnstees.
Launching a new membership scheme. in line with the constitution.
Continuing to provide Signposting and support via the info@ mailbox.
Engaging in active political lobbying lo improve ADHD assessment and support pathways,
including collaborating with other national organisaiions tackling similar issues elsewhere in
the neurodivergency field.
Raising awareness of ADHD across Scotland.
