Charitable purposes
Our purpose as recorded in our constitution, is to advance citizenship,
community development and regeneration by using money from any
source including grants within the Parish of Balmaclellan, according to
criteria and need as defined from time to time for projects that will benefit
and or enhance the community of Balmaclellan. And to encourage the
engagement of the community of Balmaclellan to participate in the process
of assisting the Parish of Balmaclellan to become a self-sustainable
community

Working with Balmaclellan Village Hall Trust and Balmaclellan
Community Council to to look at projects to help and benefit
Balmaclellan community.

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of
the charity during the financial period
During the year we have developed existing projects and where
appropriate introduced new projects to benefit the Balmaclellan
Community
Membership of the Library has grown over the past year and the books
donated to the library continue lo provide a wide selection of books on
offer.
A new project has begun, Sew Special Saturday is a new initiative
supported by the Trust . The session takes place at Balmaclellan Village
Hall from 1 Oam till 4pm. Attendees can book a full or half day Attendees
can bring any crafting project they are working on and spend quality time
begin, progressing or completing their project.
The Heritage group, supported by the Community TrLtst has begun a
research project into a plot of land called 'Kentucky' Only the outline of
the cottage remains and work has begun on obtaining grant to help the
Group clear the land and installing an information board outlining the
history of the plot
Balmaclellan Community Trust in association with Balmaclellan Village
Hall Trust have submitted several successful grant application to help
develoD our communitv oroiects.

Respective The ch2rity's trustees are responsible for the preparation ol the accounts in accordance
respon5ibilitie5 of with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotlandl 2005 Act and the
tru8tees and examiner Charities Accounts {Scotlar)dl Regulations 2006. The charily tiuslees consider that the
audit requirement of Regulation 10{1) (d} of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It
is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) Icl of the
Act and to state whether particular matters have corne to my attention.
Basis of independent My examination is Carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities
examiner's stalement Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes 3 review of the
accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with
those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The
procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be requireé in an audit
and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
