**Objectives:** The organisation&#x27;s purposes are: a) The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture, or science by funding a statue in memory of Captain Eric &#x27;Winkle&#x27; Brown RN., and providing information to the public about Scotland&#x27;s greatest aviator and test pilot who learned to fly as a student at Edinburgh University and the great contribution that Captain Brown made to aircraft development and safety.  b) The advancement of education through the provision of flying scholarships or grants, to enable young persons, who might not otherwise have this opportunity, to learn to fly. c) The provision of a recreational facility or the organisation of a recreational activity through the provision of flying experiences for Air Cadets and disabled or disadvantaged youngsters who are not air Cadets with the intention to improve the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
