Activities
Friends of Tremanna and Braes provides resources to help those that have moved on keep in touch with their previous care team and each other. Frequent social meetings are held to celebrate births, special occasions and milestones in the lives of young people to help them stay connected to the Tremanna and Braes family. This is pivotal to assist in the eradication of isolation and loneliness and to promote connection and provide a family support network.
This year we have arranged a trip to M&D’s theme park and held gatherings such as an Easter hunt. We also held a group gathering to mark the passing of Mary who was such an important figure in the lives of our young people.
The type of support provided by friends of Tremanna and Braes is summarised in the “Achievements and Performance” section below.
3 young people have moved on successfully from Tremanna Children’s home into their own tenancy and will continue to be supported by Friends of Tremanna and Braes.
