The charity was established as a grant giving charity to support and further the Murray family's philanthropic activities. The trustees meet quarterly to review grant applications and to approve grant funding.

Objectives: The objects of the Company are:- (a) the relief of suffering and distress of any person who has suffered the loss of a limb or part of a limb as the result of a traumatic incident. (b) the advancement of health, (c) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, and (d) to promote such similar Charitable Purposes, objects or institutions and in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall think fit.
