**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of education&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of citizenship or community development&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science&#x27;,&#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of environmental protection or improvement&#x27;

**What the charity does:** The Cramond Association aims to foster a sense of community amongst residents of Cramond, Barnton and Cammo by organising activities (litter picks, woodland volunteering, cinema club) holding talks (run by the History Section, specialising in local history) and representing the views of local residents at meetings with Edinburgh Airport and Edinburgh Council.

**Objectives:** The purpose of the Association is to improve, promote and enhance the amenity, heritage and the natural environment of Cramond, Barnton and Cammo and the surrounding area. This is defined as the area bounded as follows: by the foreshore of the Forth to the River Almond: the River Almond to the Grotto Bridge: the Grotto Bridge in a straight line to Lennie Hill: Lennie Hill in a straight line to the intersection of the burn and Maybury Road: the west side of Maybury Road to Queensferry Road:   the north side of Queensferry Road to Quality Street: the west side of Quality Street and Cramond Road South to Laurlston Farm Road: the north side of Lauriston Farm Road to Silverknowes Road: the west side of Silverknowes Road north to the foreshore. This area is hereinafter referred to as Cramond.   It will achieve its purposes through:  The advancement of the arts, heritage and culture of Cramond by holding regular meetings on topics of interest to the community and organising activities and events (which can be in partnership with other organisations), to maintain and promote the local heritage and culture   The advancement of community development by involving local people in improving the area, for example through maintaining an active role in monitoring planning and developments in Cramond The advancement of environmental protection and improvement for example by carrying out conservation activities. by encouraging and supporting the local population in sound environmental practice. and by working with statutory and non-statutory agencies The advancement of education for the residents and others interested in Cramond and the surrounding area, for example through regular meetings, its website and monthly e-newsletter  The provision of recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended
