TRUSTEES' REPORT AND STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES’ RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE YEAR ENDED JULY 31ST 2025

| FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

The Trustees present their report and audited financial statements of the charitable company for the year ended 31 July 2025. They have adopted the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) "Accounting and Reporting by Charties" (FRS102) in preparing the annual report and financial statements of the charity.

CHARITY STATUS

Aberlour & Craigellachie Pre School Nursery was initially registered as a Scottish Charity No. SC009270. As of 17th January 2017 it was registered as a Scottish Charity Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) registration No. SC047098.

STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT

The Charity is run by a management committee who meet to review the ongoing development of the Charity and to confirm that the Charity's aims are met.

The management committee consists of a Chairperson, Secretary, and a Treasurer, who are elected at the annual general meeting or appointed during the year. All positions are held until the next annual general meeting where they face re-election.

The individuals in the management committee are all members of the Charity.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

The aim of the Pre School Nursery is to advance the education and social development of pre school and older children with the emphasis of the play experience, so that they take a constructive place In the community and also to advance the education of their parents/carers and other appropriate persons.

In furtherance of the above aims the Pre School Nursery shall seek : (a) to provide safe and satisfying Pre School Nursery through play (b) to encourage other charitable activities through which the parents/carers may support the the development of children.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS

Going forward, there will be the usual ongoing fundraising events to supplement the main of funding.

RISKS REVIEW

The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finances of the charity, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

The management committee keep a close eye on income and expenditure. In the year ended 31st July 2025 there was a surplus of £477 which was carried to reserves. Future fee income and cost management should allow the nursery to continue to provide an excellent service.

The Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position at the end of the period and of the surplus or deficit for the year then ended.

The Financial Statements must comply with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).

In preparing these financial statements the officials are required to:

a. select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently

b. make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; and C. prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to do so on the grounds that the charity is unlikely to continue in existence.

The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the organisation. The officials are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRUSTEES AND ACCOUNTANTS

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustees Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended), the Memorandum and Articles of Association, and Accounting and Reporting by Charities: statement of Recomended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard, applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS102). The trusteess consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10 (1) (a) to (c) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44 (1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charitable company and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the directors concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

In the year ended July 31st 2025 there were 6 employees (2024 5 employees)

No employee received remuneration greater than £60,000 in the year ended 31st July 2025. The charity considers its key management personnel comprises of the Trustees and the management. Total employment costs for the manager who is also a trustee including employer pension contributions were £49.996 in year ended 31st July 2025 and £47.790 in the year ended 31st July 2024. There was no remuneration for being a trustee.
