Chapelhall Allotments Association
Report to the Independent Examiner to The Trustess of Chapelhall Allotments Association
| report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31° December 2025 which are set out on pages 1 to 3.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiner’s statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention.which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:

e to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations

e to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations

We have 3 Trusteesiii
Our allotments stay open all year round.
Our Accounts have been checked with receipts and Bank Statements and signed.
Purposes
1 The organisation's purposes are:
-
1.1. For the benefit of the inhabitants of Chapelhall and its environs to provide, or assist in the provision of, facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation generally; but specifically to provide or assist in the provision of allotments with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants generally.

1.2 To advance the education of the said inhabitants concerning the sciences of agriculture, horticulture and related subjects by promoting and fostering an interest in all aspects of the aforesaid subjects.
Our Achievements for 2025
Planting shrubs and flowers
New planters gifted by an allotment member.
Cutting down hedges, trees and tidying up our Orchard
All plots were tidied and covered up apart from 3 which had winter vegetables in them
All paths in our allotments have had weedkiller put down .
Our polytunnels have been tidied and fumigated for 2026.

Our plans for 2026
To paint all sheds
To move some sheds in the allotments.
Fix and paint our decking area.
Paint fencing.
Keep all plots tidy and for plotholders to fully utilise them.
Keep the areas around the plots free of weeds
To put hanging baskets up.
Plant shrubs or flowers in our rockery and flower beds.
Obtain new planters.
Fix one of our small polytunnels and renew plastic.
