Structure, GovernNDce and Management
Constitution
The Charity is a Scotlish Charitable Incorporated Organtsalion (a SCIO). It was registered in its
Current legal forni on 05 Dccember 2016. It has a single iier structurc and as such the trustees are the
members of the charity.
Appointment of trustees
The management committee, which meets once a rnont￿ the charity's trustees.
Trustees are elected al the annual general meeting which is nom)Ally held in September. There musl
be a minimum of four and a maximum of eight tn￿(ees.
Objectives And ACtI￿tIeS
Charitable purposes
The objects of the Or8anisation will be to advance citizenship and communit>. development for the
b¢nefit of the inhabitants of Bo'ness and its environs wiihout dislinciions of sex, sexuality, political,
religious or other options by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and
inhabilanls in a common effort to improve a￿¢s5 lo services and lo provide facilities or to assist in
the provision of facilities designed to promote and encourage active citizenship, civic responsibility,
conimunity coh￿10￿ social renewal, and the alleviation of S￿la1 isolation.
In p8rticular'.
To meei the transport needs (including scheduled services) of the community which is
a¢¢assibl¢, safe, affordable and reliable.
To provide (or facililalel accessible trdnsport servitts for those with mobility impaiments in
partnership with oiher agencies.. To thal end we will strive lo obtain vehicles with facilities for
disabled access.
To provide {or facilitate) trdnsport for community 8roupgorganisations'
To create employment and volunteering opportunitie5;
To create access lo learning opportuniti¢s.
To encourage the community lo use the transport scheme for social. recreational, h￿1th, access
to employmcnt and educational b¢n¢fil. and promote r¢sw>nsible use of trdnsport.
Aetivlties
The charity provides scheduled Minibus services between Bo'ness and Edinburgh and between
Bo'ness, Blackness and Liniiihgow.
The charily also provided hires for the community, local chariti¢s and organtsations.

Achievements and Perforn]ance
In 2019 we were honoured that the Bo'n&ss Community Council awarded us the John McLaren
Trophy for Servicc5 to ihe Community. That refl￿t￿ how our seryices responded to our
community's needs. While our 5crvicc conlinues to provid¢ a reliable and safe means of travel,
we can claim lo run our Services to 990/D of the tim¢ limlts of less than I minute early and within 5
mins laie set by ihe Traffic Commissioner. Our record on safety remains unblemished and we
continue lo pul a high emphasis on CU￿orner Carc.
Financial review
201912020 was a difficult period for us due to COVtD-19 and the restrictions on trnvel. We
rec¢iv¢d support from the Scollish Government. which h¢lp¢d us lo maintain services for our
essential workers.
We secured a contrdct for ￿h0o1 bus s¢rvi¢es with Falkirk Council and we purchased a WAV bus
which allows us lo provide access for people with disabiliti¢s and wheelchair users. This new bus
opens up new opportunities for hires and contracts.
Reserves policy
It is the Trustees. policy lo maintain unreslricled fvnds. which are the free reserves of the charity, al
an appropriate level io sustain th¢ charity's operalion, in particular with regard (o the requirements
for the Op￿alorS Licence. The Trustees have examined the risks to whi¢h the charity is exposed and
eonfinn that Ihes¢ arc regularly reviewoj.
Plans for future perlod
The Trustees are always I￿king for opportwiities to expand our serviccs, with new contracts. Our
marketing activities will be increased and, when restrictions pern)it, w¢ will actively promote our
hire services.

work has been undertaken lo enable me to rcw)rt my opinion as set out below and for no other
purpose. To the fullest extent pemiilted io tne by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to
anyone other than the Charity and the Trustees, as a EKMIY. for my work or for this report.
Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The charity's trnstees are respon5iblc for thc preparation of the accounts in aceordance with the
tern]s of the Charities and Trustee Inveslment (Swiland} Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) regulations 2006 as amended. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement
of Regulation 10{1) (a) to (c) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply.
It is my
responsibility lo examine the accounts as required under section 44(1)(c) of the Act and lo slate
whether particular matters have corne to my a¢t¢ntion.
Basis of Independent Examiner's Statement
My examination is carrted oui in aecordance with Regulaiion I l of Ihe Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Regulations 2006 as amended. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept
by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presenled with those rewrds. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or di￿losUre$ in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the
Iruslees concerning any such matters. The pr(Kalures undertaken do not provide all the evidence
Ihal would be required in an audit. and wnsequenily I do not express an audit opinion on the view
given by the accounts.

These Accounts have been prepared on the Reccipts and Payin¢nts basis in accordance with the
Chariiies & Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2(K)5 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Regulations 2006 (as amended).
