Objectives: SIY will operate in partnership with the diverse communities and relevant stakeholders in Scotland and abroad and our (SIY) objectives are: 4.1 To advance citizenship and the contribution of the diverse ethnic minority (in particular but not restricted to) youths (including foreign national youths) in Scotland through promoting social inclusion, active citizenship and assisting in removing barriers to full participation (e.g. language, discrimination and exclusion) through empowering their active role in all aspects of society. 4.2 To relieve poverty through empowering the diverse (in particular but not restricted to) youths in their engagement through community initiatives, training, education with regards to volunteering, participation in sport, healthy lives, volunteering, education and overall humanitarian welfare. 4.3 To promote racial harmony through community work and community empowerment, and to advance social justice in Scotland through awareness raising programmes and community development practices as well as through developing activities, training, volunteering initiatives, sport clubs and enterprises that create equal opportunities for participation at several levels.
