We work with children who have suffered trauma, abuse, neglect and poverty affecting mental, physical and emotional wellbeing providing much needed support through animal themed workshops, activities and Support Sessions designed for positive wellbeing. Our unique approach, through the medium of animals, sees us sharing stories of rescued animals with the children, to help encourage compassionate and empathetic behaviour towards all living beings. Our activities include care experienced and vulnerable children in foster care and kinship care, those under protection orders, those on the cusp of care and Young Carers. They include the whole family so they can enjoy the experience as a family unit with both children and adults gaining a valuable support network. Children experience a sense of belonging, increased self confidence, self esteem and self worth. We provide coping mechanisms that can be continued at home by child and caregiver to build on positive behaviour changes.
