Structure, Governance and Management
Governing Document
The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (a SCIO). It was registered in, its current legal form on 17th October 2016. It has a single tier structure and as such the trustees are the members of the charity.
Recruitment and Appointment of Trustees Members
The board may at any time appoint any person to be a charity trustee by way of a resolution passed by majority vote at a board meeting.
The aims and objectives of the Al Amin Scotland shall be:

(i) To provide Aid and relief to those in need as a result of poverty, war and famine.

(ii) Benefits and services will be provided by firstly engaging in fund raising activities and utilising these funds to provide food, clothing, basic necessities, and shelter to needy persons

1 Accounting policies
Basis of preparation
These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended)
Nature and purpose of funds
Unrestricted funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the objects of the charity. The trustees maintain a single unrestricted fund for the day-to-day running of the charity.
