Structure, Govemance and Management Constitution The Charity is a Scottish Charitsble Incorporated Organisation (SCIO). It was riStered In Its current legal form on 22 September 2016 Appointment of Trustees The Board of Trustees are the Charity Trustees A person will not be eligible for electi or a0]ntment to the t)oard if helshe is: _ 1 disqualified from being a Charity Trustee under the Charilies and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005: or an employee of the organisation. New Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meeting which normally is held In November. There must be a minimum of 5 and maxirnum of 12 Trustees. At each Annual General Meeting one third of our existing Trustees will sland down. Objects and Activities Charltable Purposes The provision of recreational facilities. or the organisation of recreational activities wilh the object of improving the conditions of lif8 for the persons for whom the facblities or activities are prsmarily tntended by hosting recreational events and activities that provide opportunities for the communty to (}me togeiher. Achlevements and Performance We donated £100.00 to East Lothian Foodbank in DeMber. This was part of a £150.00 donation agreed by ihe trustees but had to be dotE n stages. The balanciro £50.00 will show in Januarrfs ac(x)unts in 2025. In 2024, we Stayed invofved in the OrMist community. We have a pitth side a¢fvertisirg board at Orniston PrirnSe Football Club for Season 202412025. Ormiston Flower Show in August was agan goDd fijn. some very impressive flowers and vegetables. A Gift from Kieran sponsored a Scarecrow c(ynpÈtition there we chose an 8dult winner and a child winner and supplied small prizes. ontinuing to maintain the defibrillator donated to Ormiston afw4 years ago, we supplied Iiew paos ft)r it We were pleased to work closely wilh Ormlston Children's Gaia week. They have not required a monetary donation for the last o)uple of years. bul we remain a SFonsor. They C'nUe to di$aY our marketing boards. and hav6 an 1vertISeMent in their programmo of avents. Our chai[peon vdunteet5 wilh the Gala committee. she puts togelher the paper programme. helps wilh Iheii social media and Is part of the organlsaticn of the week's events. We were also de1hted to be able to agaln sponsor the A Gift from Kieran football COMtib0n as part of the Gala week. The wnnerfs Irophy was bought by the gala comrntttee years ago and is re-used each y83r. We attend and present Ihe trophy on behalf of A Gift frorn Kieran. Plans for the Future In 2025. we aim to enhance our community involvement once again. We will participate in Ormiston's Gala Week festivities and the Onniston FlOvr Show. We will aim to host a Fundraising Beetle Drive and a Clairvoyant Night in 2025. as they have shown lo be successful and well attended in previous yeaTS. Previously, our darts. domlnoes. and t>owling competitions were highly successful. We are CUrrenY in discussions with lot21 groups to revive these events or introduce similar <lCliVi(ies.
