The Scottish Arctic Expedition Fund makes financial awards to people under 30 years of age, in order to travel tothe arctic as individuals or as part of an expedition. the journey may involve artistic, educational, mountaineering, exploration or other adventurous aims. Trustees rank each application by criteria including independence, location, duration, size of group etc.. Applicants must be Scottish, by birth or residence. Funds are allocated from monies raised in the previous year by members of the Scottish Arctic Club.

Objectives: 4.1 The advancement of education in matters of travel and research in the Arctic. 4.2 The advancement of science in Arctic regions through awareness of the fragile Arctic environment, its habitats and ecosystems.
