Trustees Report

Services in the Church over this past year were cancelled due to the corona virus and Government guidelines. To keep in touch with the Fellowship the Elders organised Services using Zoom and virtual “Drop in Café” get -togethers. WhatsApp, text, email and phone calls have been used to keep in regular contact with the Fellowship. All Trustees meetings and AGM were held on line this year. We are thankful that the Church as a whole have been clear of the virus, for which we give God thanks. Donations to the Church were given online through the website or by Cheque and we thank all those who have supported the Church in this way. The finances are in a healthy state. As lockdown is eased, we are monitoring the situation with a view to starting the Services and activities in the Church as soon as is feasible. In the longer term our purpose is still to make the church relevant, serve the local area and engage with the local community. We are a growing friendly Christian Fellowship which welcomes families and people from all backgrounds.

Our aim is to see people come to know Jesus as their Saviour and be equipped through the preaching of God’s word to live victorious Christian lives.

Report of the Independent Examiner

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31st May 2021 which are set out on pages 4 to 5.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charity and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006

The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1 )(c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention

Basis of independent examiner's statement.

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006

An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the account and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

Independent examinees statement

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any respect the requirements:

1 . to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1)(a) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and Regulation4 of The Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006, and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts

Regulations, have not been met, or

  1. to which. in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached
